Barton Springs Nursery is dedicated to selling a wide variety of plants and trees in a welcoming and educational environment. Striving for each customer to have a memorable shopping experience, we expect our employees to offer not only top-tier customer service but to be a resource of plant knowledge, readily available.
Our retail associates are the first people our customers see when they come to the nursery. We need our team to be extremely friendly, highly knowledgeable, and ready to help.
Plant knowledge, and especially native Texas plant knowledge, is very important. Whether you're working with someone who has a lot of questions or someone who's in a hurry, we expect our retail associates to be able to quickly adapt to different situations and manage their time accordingly. They should be willing to go the extra mile to show customers that they are valued, without sacrificing the needs of other guests. Our retail associates need to be able to work under pressure, handling long lines and rushes with confidence and grace. You will also be responsible for unloading plants, putting them away, watering, and many other tasks related to the care of plants.
We are hiring both part-time and full-time positions for this role. For full-time positions, one weekend day will be required. For part-time positions, please let us know your availability.
Barton Springs Nursery has been running since 1986 but has been growing rapidly since it was bought by new owners in January 2021. We have a new and exciting vision as to where we see the nursery going, and we strongly encourage an opportunity to grow with us. If you are looking for something long-term, and career-based, we would be happy to chat further.
